Robert M. Meyer, M.D.

Having practiced in Southwest Orange County since 1985, Robert M. Meyer, M.D., continues to provide the high level of personalized care his patients have come to expect and deserve. With a focus toward preventive medicine for women and men of all ages, Dr. Meyer and the Meyer Internal Medicine team members pursue comprehensive health and wellness objectives for each patient. Dr. Meyer also remains active in the community, providing leadership to enhance systems for the delivery of health care to all patients.

Dr. Meyer is a graduate of Tufts University, Boston and he received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. After completing special training in internal medicine during his residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, Dr. Meyer became board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Meyer maintains memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and Orange County Medical Society.

Dr. Meyer is a longtime resident of Southwest Orlando and spends most of his spare time involved in family activities.

Jennifer Deans, P.A.-C.

Jennifer Deans is a board-certified physician assistant who has worked closely with Dr. Meyer since December 2003. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Jennifer was one of a select group of college freshmen accepted into the Dual Admission Physician Assistant Program. Deans graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2001 and later received her master’s of medical science degree, graduating with honors.

Jennifer brings many years of experience as a physician assistant to Meyer Internal Medicine. In addition, she worked in rehabilitation medicine and brings this experience to Meyer Internal Medicine.

Jennifer is a member if the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Florida Academy of Physicians Assistants.

A resident of Central Florida since childhood, Jennifer has strong interests related to the outdoors and she spends much of her leisure time enjoying outdoor adventures with her husband.

Elizabeth Gelder, P.A.-C

Elizabeth Gelder is a board-certified Physician Assistant and a recent addition to the staff of Meyer Internal Medicine. Elizabeth attended Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania where she received a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies. In 2007, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for academic achievement. Elizabeth’s interests within primary care include women’s health.

Elizabeth is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Elizabeth relocated to Central Florida in 2006. Elizabeth is an avid traveler who also enjoys backpacking and scuba diving in the beautiful waters of Florida.
